Feast 2 : Sloppy Seconds

Tag line : They're back and they're still hungry!

Feast 2 : Sloppy SecondsPicking up straight after the events of the first film and a lone biker chick named "Biker Queen" (Dianne Goldman) arrives at the remains of the truck-stop bar looking for her sister "Harley Mom" (who Goldman played in the previous film).

Finding her remains scattered around the car park, she pulls out of the wreckage the body of the bartender (Clu Gulager reprising his role), wounded but still alive, and demands to know what happened.

When he explains about them using her body as bait to attract the aliens, she is understandably not too chuffed about this, and so taking him with her, heads on over to the next town with her gang to look for the ringleader of the survivors, Bozo. But unfortunately, when they get there, they find that the aliens have decimated the town and, after a series of running battles, find themselves stuck up on the roof of one of the buildings with some of the townsfolk.

Also returning from the previous film is the character "Honey Pie" (Jenny Wade again), who the bartender immediately falls out with for running out on them at the end of the last film.  More gross out blood, guts and gunge ensue, along with a large dose of black humour, as the band of survivors try and fight their way out of their predicament and various body parts, both alien and human, go flying in the process. There's also an alien autopsy scene that will undoubtedly make you cringe in disgust.

This film seems a bit more jokey and comical than the last, but is still quite good fun. However, I thought the scenes of the group trapped on the roof, and Honey Pie being stuck in the shop below, just seemed to drag on a bit too long and should have perhaps been shorter. But fans of the original should definitely enjoy this. The scenes with the Mexican fighting midgets are worth the price of the film alone!

Overall marks : 5.5/10.
